Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients

  • - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • - 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • - 2 cups heavy cream
  • - 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Directions

  1. 1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. 3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly.
  4. 4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. 5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add nutmeg if desired.
  7. 7. Continue to simmer the sauce for another 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
  8. 8. Serve the Alfredo sauce over cooked pasta of your choice and enjoy!
