Ingredients
- - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- - 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- - 2 cups heavy cream
- - 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- - Salt and pepper to taste
- - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Directions
- 1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- 2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add nutmeg if desired.
- 7. Continue to simmer the sauce for another 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
- 8. Serve the Alfredo sauce over cooked pasta of your choice and enjoy!
