Baked Pears

Ingredients

  • - 4 ripe pears
  • - 2 tablespoons honey
  • - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • - 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • - 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • - 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. Wash the pears and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the cores and place the pear halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, mix together the honey, cinnamon, pecans, melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. 4. Spoon the honey mixture evenly over each pear half.
  5. 5. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the pears are tender.
  6. 6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are caramelized.
  7. 7. Serve the baked pears warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy!
