Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • - 2 cups of stale bread, cubed
  • - 2 cups of milk
  • - 2 eggs
  • - 2 tablespoons of butter
  • - 1/4 cup of white sugar
  • - 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • - 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • - 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. 2. Place the cubed bread into the baking dish.
  3. 3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs.
  4. 4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, and stir in the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. 5. Pour the egg mixture and butter mixture over the bread cubes, and stir until evenly coated.
  6. 6. Sprinkle the raisins over the top, if desired.
  7. 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm. Enjoy!
