Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- - 2 cups of stale bread, cubed
- - 2 cups of milk
- - 2 eggs
- - 2 tablespoons of butter
- - 1/4 cup of white sugar
- - 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- - 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- - 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)
Directions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 2. Place the cubed bread into the baking dish.
- 3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs.
- 4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, and stir in the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- 5. Pour the egg mixture and butter mixture over the bread cubes, and stir until evenly coated.
- 6. Sprinkle the raisins over the top, if desired.
- 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm. Enjoy!
