Chicago Pizza

Ingredients

  • -1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • -1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • -1/4 teaspoon salt
  • -1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • -1/4 cup warm water
  • -2 tablespoons olive oil
  • -3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • -1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • -1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
  • -1/2 cup thinly sliced bell pepper
  • -1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • -1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • -1/4 cup sliced pepperoni

Directions

  1. 1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. 2. Add the warm water and olive oil and stir until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  6. 6. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out into a 12-inch circle.
  7. 7. Place the dough on a greased pizza pan.
  8. 8. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough.
  9. 9. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  10. 10. Top with the onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, black olives, and pepperoni.
  11. 11. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  12. 12. Cut into slices and serve. Enjoy!
