Ingredients
- - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- - Salt and pepper, to taste
- - 1 cup bread crumbs
- - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- - 2 eggs
- - 1 cup marinara sauce
- - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- - Fresh basil, for garnish
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- 3. In a shallow dish, combine bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 4. Beat the eggs in another shallow dish.
- 5. Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat with the bread crumb mixture.
- 6. Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
- 7. Remove the chicken from the oven and top each breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 8. Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
- 10. Serve hot with pasta or a side of your choice. Enjoy your delicious chicken Parmesan!
