Ingredients

  • - 1 lb ground beef
  • - 1 onion, chopped
  • - 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • - 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • - 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • - 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • - 2 tsp chili powder
  • - 1 tsp cumin
  • - Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. 1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes until vegetables are softened.
  3. 3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and tomato sauce.
  4. 4. Add the chili powder and cumin, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. 5. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Serve hot with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions. Enjoy!
