Ingredients
- - 1 lb ground beef
- - 1 onion, chopped
- - 1 bell pepper, chopped
- - 2 cloves garlic, minced
- - 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- - 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- - 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- - 2 tsp chili powder
- - 1 tsp cumin
- - Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- 1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- 2. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes until vegetables are softened.
- 3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and tomato sauce.
- 4. Add the chili powder and cumin, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 5. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 6. Serve hot with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions. Enjoy!
