Ingredients

  • - 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 2 cups granulated sugar
  • - 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • - 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • - 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • - 1 teaspoon salt
  • - 1 cup vegetable oil
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 1 cup hot water
  • - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. 3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, eggs, hot water, and vanilla extract.
  4. 4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. 5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. 6. Let cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
