Ingredients
- -1/2 cup butter, softened
- -1 cup white sugar
- -2 eggs
- -1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- -1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- -1 teaspoon baking powder
- -1/4 teaspoon salt
- -1/2 cup milk
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan.
- 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
- 3. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
- 4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch. Cool in pan before serving.
