Ingredients

  • - 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • - 1 cup granulated sugar
  • - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • - 2 flax eggs (2 tablespoons ground flaxseed + 6 tablespoons water)
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, prepare the flax eggs by mixing together ground flaxseed and water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. 3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. 4. Add the vegetable oil, flax eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  5. 5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  6. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
