Ingredients
- -2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- -2 tablespoons butter
- -2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- -1 teaspoon salt
- -1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- -2 cups milk
- -1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- -1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- 2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
- 3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and bubbly.
- 4. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted.
- 5. Place macaroni in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over macaroni and stir until combined.
- 6. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
