Mac And Cheese

Ingredients

  • -2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • -2 tablespoons butter
  • -2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • -1 teaspoon salt
  • -1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • -2 cups milk
  • -1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • -1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. 2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  3. 3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and bubbly.
  4. 4. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. 5. Place macaroni in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over macaroni and stir until combined.
  6. 6. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
