Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • - 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • - 1/2 cup milk
  • - 4 tablespoons butter
  • - Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. 1. Place the potato chunks in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
  2. 2. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. 3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. 4. Add the milk and butter to the potatoes.
  5. 5. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy, adding more milk if necessary to reach desired consistency.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. 7. Serve hot as a side dish. Enjoy your mashed potatoes!
