Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
- - 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- - 1/2 cup milk
- - 4 tablespoons butter
- - Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- 1. Place the potato chunks in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
- 2. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- 3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- 4. Add the milk and butter to the potatoes.
- 5. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy, adding more milk if necessary to reach desired consistency.
- 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7. Serve hot as a side dish. Enjoy your mashed potatoes!
