Ingredients

  • - 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • - 2 tablespoons sugar
  • - 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • - 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • - 1 cup milk
  • - 1 large egg
  • - 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. 3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. It's okay if the batter is a little lumpy.
  4. 4. Heat a lightly greased skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  5. 5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. 6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  7. 7. Serve warm with your favorite toppings like maple syrup, fruit, or whipped cream. Enjoy!
