Ingredients
- - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- - 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- - 2 cloves garlic, minced
- - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- - 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- - 1/2 cup vodka
- - 1/2 cup heavy cream
- - 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- - Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- 1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- 2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute.
- 4. Add the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
- 5. Add the vodka and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 6. Add the cream and Parmesan cheese and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 8. Serve hot over your favorite pasta. Enjoy!
